1. 서비스 개요

ManuVera AI는 투고 전 원고의 검토·수정을 지원하는 도구입니다(최종 판단은 저자가 합니다).

2. AI 결과에 대한 책임

AI가 생성·제안한 내용의 정확성과 적절성의 최종 책임은 사용자(저자)에게 있습니다. 인용·참고문헌·수치는 반드시 직접 검증해야 하며, 게재 승인을 보장하지 않습니다.

3. 사용자 의무

• 유효한 권한이 있는 원고만 입력
• 해당 저널의 생성형 AI 사용·고지 정책(ICMJE/COPE 등) 준수
• API 키 등 자격증명의 안전한 관리

4. 지식재산

입력한 원고의 모든 권리는 사용자에게 있으며, 당사는 원고에 대한 권리를 주장하지 않습니다. 한편 서비스 자체(소프트웨어·UI·검토 프롬프트·상표 등)에 관한 권리는 당사에 귀속되며, 무단 복제·개작·배포·역공학(reverse engineering)은 금지됩니다.

5. 보증의 배제 및 책임 제한

본 서비스는 베타 단계이며 "있는 그대로(as is)" 제공됩니다. 당사는 검토·수정 제안 결과의 정확성·완전성·특정 목적에의 적합성을 보증하지 않으며, 게재 승인이나 심사 통과를 보증하지 않습니다. 결과의 최종 확인 책임은 제2조와 같이 사용자(저자)에게 있습니다.

당사의 손해배상 책임은 아래와 같이 제한됩니다. 다만 당사의 고의 또는 중대한 과실로 인한 손해와, 그 밖에 관계 법령상 제한할 수 없는 책임에는 아래 제한을 적용하지 않습니다.

• 배상 한도는 손해가 발생한 때부터 직전 3개월간 사용자가 당사에 실제로 지급한 이용료를 넘지 않습니다(무료로 이용한 기간에는 지급액이 없습니다).
• 통상의 손해를 넘는 간접손해·특별손해·결과적 손해에 대해서는, 당사가 그 사정을 알았거나 알 수 있었던 경우를 제외하고 책임을 지지 않습니다.
• 사용자가 원고·인용·수치를 직접 확인하지 않아 생긴 손해, 저널의 생성형 AI 사용·고지 정책을 지키지 않아 생긴 손해에 대해서는 책임을 지지 않습니다.

본 조의 일부가 관계 법령에 따라 효력이 없는 경우에도 나머지 부분은 효력을 유지하며, 효력이 없는 부분은 법이 허용하는 최대 범위에서 위 취지에 따라 해석합니다.

6. 이용 자격

본 서비스는 만 14세 이상만 이용할 수 있습니다.

7. 유료 서비스 · 청약철회 및 환불

본 서비스는 현재 무료 베타로 운영되며 유료 결제를 청구하지 않습니다. 결제 화면이 보이더라도, 아래 고지가 갖춰지기 전에는 결제 기능이 잠겨 있어 실제 청구가 발생하지 않습니다(사업자 정보가 등록되지 않으면 앱이 결제 경로를 열지 않도록 되어 있습니다).

유료 서비스를 개시하는 경우 「전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률」에 따라 사업자 정보(상호·대표자·주소·사업자등록번호·통신판매업 신고번호), 대금 결제 방법, 청약철회 기간과 절차, 환불 기준을 결제 화면과 본 약관에 사전 고지합니다.

청약철회·환불 기준(개시 시 적용)

• 구독: 결제일로부터 7일 이내이고 유료 기능을 사용하지 않은 경우 전액 환불합니다. 사용을 시작한 경우에는 남은 기간에 해당하는 금액을 일할 계산해 환불합니다.
• 크레딧 충전: 사용하지 않은 크레딧은 충전일로부터 7일 이내 전액, 이후에는 잔여분 기준으로 환불합니다. 이미 분석에 사용된 크레딧은 용역이 제공된 것이므로 환불 대상에서 제외됩니다.
• 서비스 하자(장애로 기능을 쓰지 못한 경우)에는 기간·사용 여부와 무관하게 해당 금액을 환불합니다.
• 환불 요청은 아래 문의처로 접수하며, 접수일로부터 3영업일 이내에 처리합니다.

8. 준거법 및 관할

본 약관은 대한민국 법률을 준거법으로 합니다. 본 약관과 관련한 분쟁의 관할은 「민사소송법」에 따르며, 이용자가 소비자인 경우 제소 당시 이용자의 주소지를 관할하는 법원을 관할법원으로 합니다.

1. Service overview

ManuVera AI is a tool that assists with reviewing and revising manuscripts before submission (the author makes the final decision).

2. Responsibility for AI output

The user (author) bears final responsibility for the accuracy and appropriateness of AI-generated or suggested content. Citations, references, and numbers must be verified by the user, and acceptance is not guaranteed.

3. User obligations

• Enter only manuscripts you are authorized to use
• Comply with the target journal policy on generative AI use and disclosure (ICMJE/COPE, etc.)
• Safely manage credentials such as API keys

4. Intellectual property

All rights to the entered manuscript remain with the user; we claim no rights to your manuscript. Conversely, all rights in the Service itself (software, UI, review prompts, trademarks) belong to us; unauthorized copying, modification, distribution, or reverse engineering is prohibited.

5. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The service is in beta and is provided "as is". We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any review or suggested revision, and we do not guarantee acceptance or a favourable review outcome. As stated in Section 2, final verification is the user’s (author’s) responsibility.

Our liability is limited as set out below. However, these limits do not apply to damages caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or to any liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.

• Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees the user actually paid to us during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the damage (no such amount exists for periods of free use).
• We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages beyond ordinary damages, except where we knew or should have known of the relevant circumstances.
• We are not liable for damages arising from the user’s failure to verify the manuscript, citations, or figures, or from non-compliance with a journal’s generative-AI use and disclosure policy.

If any part of this section is unenforceable under applicable law, the remainder stays in effect, and the unenforceable part is construed to give effect to the above intent to the fullest extent the law allows.

6. Eligibility

This service may be used only by persons aged 14 or over.

7. Paid services, withdrawal and refunds

The service is currently operated as a free beta and no payment is charged. Even where a payment screen is visible, checkout stays locked until the disclosures below are in place, so no charge can occur: the app does not open the payment path unless the business details are registered.

If paid services are introduced, we will disclose in advance — on the payment screen and in these terms — the business details (trade name, representative, address, business registration number, mail-order sales registration number), payment methods, the withdrawal period and procedure, and the refund policy, as required by Korean e-commerce law.

Withdrawal and refunds (applicable once paid services begin)

• Subscriptions: full refund within 7 days of payment if no paid feature has been used; once used, the unused remainder of the period is refunded on a pro-rata basis.
• Credit top-ups: unused credits are refunded in full within 7 days of purchase, and thereafter on the unused balance. Credits already spent on analysis are excluded, as the service was rendered.
• Service faults (features unusable because of an outage) are refunded regardless of period or usage.
• Refund requests are received at the contact address below and processed within 3 business days.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Jurisdiction follows the Korean Civil Procedure Act; where the user is a consumer, the court with jurisdiction over the user’s address at the time of filing shall have jurisdiction.
